SDC Foundation, in collaboration with PRADAN, PRIA and CYSD, organised Himalayan Samagam, a virtual conclave, on October 23rd, 2021. The purpose of Himalayan Samagam is to facilitate the coming together of various stakeholders from government, businesses and civil society in order to expedite the progress towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
Himalayan Samagam seeks to build on the theme of facilitating partnerships and triggering collaborative action to foster inclusive progress in the Himalayan region. At the end of the conclave, we aspire to arrive at a declaration outlining key suggestions and pointers emerging from the session.
The conclave highlighted the systemic changes needed for sustainable and transformative outcomes in development work. It focused on the collaborative efforts' achievements over the past year and discussed actions required by stakeholders and partners for more effective collaborations in the journey.
