In continuance of its efforts on plastic waste management, SDC Foundation established its 14ty plastic bank at AIIMS Rishikesh in association with the Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP) in Dehradun. Plastic Bank is an innovative and community-driven plastic waste management model aimed at promoting source segregation and ensuring the scientific recycling of plastic waste. Under the Plastic to Fuel project by IIP, the foundation has been working as a social technology partner for the project. Plastic banks form an integral part of supply chains of plastic waste for IIP’s plastic waste to fuel project.
