SDC Foundation has been engaged with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), Govt. of India and Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP) as “community partner” for the national level Repurpose Used Cooking Oil (RUCO) program in Uttarakhand. RUCO programs aim at converting the used cooking oil from households, industrial and commercial units to biodiesel, which is a green and clean fuel. The program was chaired by the Chief Executive Officer, FSSAI and other senior officials from IIP and Food Safety Department, Government of Uttarakhand.  Several Food Business Operators were also present during the event and shared their experiences.
