Social Development for Communities Foundation participated in Focus Group Discussions on Plastic Waste Management in the Upper Ganga Basin. Two such sessions were conducted as a part of an UNEP, Integrated Mountain Initiative (IMI) and Sustainable Development Forum of Uttaranchal (SDFU) joint study. 

The first Focus Group Discussion was held at Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal on November 16, 2021. During the event various stakeholders like educationsists, elected public representatives, Vyapar Mandal Chairman, academicians, students and social workers were present.
