SDC organizes the inaugural SDC Round Table dialogue with youngsters. The theme of the discussion was “Discussing the Challenges and Opportunities for Indian Democracy – The General Elections 2019”. This round table was a part of the ongoing campaign “Democracy and Citizen Engagement” by SDC.
The group discussion was really healthy with students from different academic streams (economics, computer science, information technology, law etc.) discussing real, hardcore and extensively important issues like bringing political parties under the ambit of RTI, criminalization of politics, mobile voting, the concept of NOTA and youth empowerment.
These students are studying in various colleges/universities in Dehradun. Students kept forward their well-informed opinions on the above-mentioned subjects and concluded the discussion with positive disagreements and lots of learnings.
