It is becoming increasingly clear that citizen engagement is the fulcrum around which the wheels of development and change need to move. Very often we are seeing large amounts of focus, capital and efforts being put in government welfare programs without the commensurate returns.

One such mission of the government which relies heavily on aware and engaged citizens is the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. We are doing our bit partnering with socially driven organizations like the Haldwani, Uttarakhand based Himalayan Jan Kalyan Sanstha spreading information on various components of the Swachh Bharat Mission.

This picture is from last week in Haldwani (October 26, 2017). This was our second joint initiative with the Himalayan Sanstha team (http://bit.ly/2hyxGEB) Really pleased to see so many listening carefully as I share knowledge and feedback on the ensuing challenges and what we all need to do together to bring about positive change in our cities, state and nation.

Ideas, inputs , comments- please do share!
