SDC Foundation has been a regular partner of Dehradun Smart City Limited (DSCL) for its various citizen engagement and outreach initiatives. We have collaborated with them on a range of programs, the key ones of which are highlighted below:
Citizen Engagement Talks
DSCL and SDC conducted a series of citizen engagement sessions in Dehradun. The sessions were designed to solicit the feedback and thoughts of the citizens on the projects proposed under the smart city. We designed special tools for curating these sessions and capturing the important insights from these discussions. Further, we engaged in the documentation, curation and post-event dissemination of each session. The talks were a resounding success as more than 5,000 people submitted their feedback regarding the Smart City Project in Dehradun.

Swachh Colony Awards
DSCL joined hands with SDC as a Technical Partner to undertake a cleanliness survey of RWAs in Dehradun. We designed the program by undertaking a baseline assessment, meeting the relevant stakeholders and designing the survey framework and methodology. The survey was conducted in more than 20 RWAs of Dehradun through an expert committee constituted by the SDC and DSCL. We also prepared a full report along with the major findings of the survey and organized the final dissemination event.
Dehradun Rangotsav
SDC assisted DSCL in rolling out a month-long wall paint and art competition for spreading awareness and activating behavior change on sanitation and cleanliness. The competition was conducted between 15 teams which focused on showcasing Uttarakhand's diverse and age-old art, tradition and customs and spreading the message of cleanliness in the city. We also implemented the second edition of this interesting citizen engagement initiative. Dehradun Rangotsav received widespread coverage from the media and citizen groups, resulting in effective mobilization and spreading of the core message of the campaign.
