SDC organised a clean-up drive at Tapkeshwar in collaboration with H&M India and the Dehradun Cantonment Board. Titled 'Let's Engage For Change', the clean-up was open to all Doon citizens and saw a huge footfall, along with the presence of many school children.
Participants were provided masks, gloves and trash-pickers to assist them in the clean-up that lasted over 3 hours. After assembling at the Tapkeshwar Mandir, participants dispersed into groups to collect trash, plastic, wrappers, glass etc. They also made their way down to the Tamsa River to collect trash dumped alongside the river bank.
The collected waste was transported to the waste processing centre of the Dehradun Cantonment Board.
